Google Sign-In & API Services User Data Policy

If you choose to sign in with Google, we comply with Google's API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. This means:

• We only use Google user data (name, email address, profile picture) to provide and improve user-facing features in Sagebeam, such as pre-populating your account information and personalizing your experience
• We do not transfer, sell, or use Google user data for advertising purposes
• We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except as necessary to provide or improve user-facing features in Sagebeam (e.g., using service providers to operate our platform)
• We do not use Google user data to determine credit-worthiness or for lending purposes
• We only request the minimum scopes needed for authentication: openid, email, and profile

SMS & Email Notifications

If you add your phone number or opt in to SMS:

• You may receive caregiver updates, handoff notes, or daily summaries
• Msg & data rates may apply
• Reply STOP to unsubscribe

We do not share phone numbers with third parties for marketing.

Data Sharing

We may share information with:

• Service providers who help operate Sagebeam
• Law enforcement if required by law
• Other users in your caregiving team as permitted by your settings

We do not sell or rent your information.

Data Security

We use industry-standard security practices to protect your information. No method of transmission is completely secure.

Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

• Essential cookies: Required for authentication and core functionality. These cannot be disabled.
• Analytics cookies: We use PostHog to understand how you use Sagebeam and improve our service. You can opt out by declining cookies when prompted.

You can manage cookie preferences through the cookie consent banner that appears on your first visit.

Data Retention

We retain information as long as your account is active or as needed. You may request deletion by emailing support@mysagebeam.com.

Marketing Attribution Data

We store marketing attribution data (e.g., how you found Sagebeam) to help us understand which marketing channels are most effective. This data is retained permanently for analytics purposes and includes information such as the website or campaign that referred you to Sagebeam. This data is not shared with third parties except as described in our Data Sharing section.

Children's Privacy

Sagebeam is not intended for children under 13.
